Trip Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Chicago and transfer independently to your hotel where you will meet with your Tour Director in the evening.

Day 2

Today we will enjoy a short tour of the city’s highlights including Lake Shore Drive, the Magnificent Mile and Navy Pier. The Windy City’s stunning high rise architecture and one of the world’s tallest buildings, the Willis Tower (admission not included), provide a dramatic backdrop for this cultural and financial center. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 3

Travel westward through the grasslands of South Dakota and onwards to Badlands National Park, once home to the buffalo and antelope, and filled with strange shaped and colorful rock formations. Then we continue on to the Black Hills, sacred to the Plains Indians and home to Mount Rushmore.

Day 4

Enter the “Equality State,” Wyoming, which has twelve mountain ranges intermixed with deserts and rolling grasslands, and continue to Cody for the night.

Day 5

Travel through Grand Teton National Park (weather permitting) and see awesome mountain peaks towering over 13,000 ft. (4,000 meters). Visit the Snake River Outlook and try your eye at capturing the stunning landscape made famous by Ansel Adam’s iconic shot.

Day 6

Travel to Los Angeles via the Mojave Desert, home of the world’s tallest thermometer, at 134 feet (41 meters) high. Clusters of unique Joshua trees dot the mountainous landscape.

Day 7

Upon arrival in Los Angeles you will enjoy a tour through the City of Angels including star-studded Hollywood, Sunset Strip and parts of Beverly Hills, before reaching your hotel. Tour ends upon arrival at hotel by approximately 17:00 hours.

Day 2

Admire the eclectic mix of architecture, culture and cuisines of one of the world's most livable cities. Embark on a morning exploration that takes you from the lively tourist hotspot of Fisherman's Wharf to Union Square, a historical landmark linked to the American Civil War. Spend some time at leisure this afternoon.

Day 3

Today, we'll visit a local winery and enjoy unique experience and exploration of wine with a tasting. This evening, enjoy a Regional Dinner with your fellow travellers.

Day 4

Travel through the fertile Sacramento River Valley to the alpine splendour of Lake Tahoe, its clear blue waters surrounded by evergreen pines and rocky outcrops. This evening, enjoy a Regional Dinner cruise on beautiful Lake Tahoe.

Day 5

Touch the sky and embark on a scenic road-trip into the Sierra Nevada, winding along the Tioga Pass to California's UNESCO-listed Yosemite National Park.

Day 6

Tempt your taste-buds today with a visit to the Salinas Valley where you'll join a Local Specialist for an agricultural education tour to learn about fruit and vegetable production and advanced farming techniques of the region that is known as the "Salad Bowl of the World".

Day 7

The pinch me moments continue as we follow the sun-kissed California coast, cruising scenic 17-Mile Drive. We return to Monterey for a visit of Cannery Row, immortalised in the John Steinbeck novel.

Day 8

California's towering redwoods provide an imposing backdrop for this morning as we journey back in time to the era of lumberjacks and sawmills in a re-created 1890s logging camp, complete with general store and railroad depot. We return to the golden city of San Francisco. Take a transfer to San Francisco International Airport or consider extending your stay.
